October Newsletter
On behalf of the Fax Trust I would like to say a massive thank you to all our loyal supporters and fans of the Club who have made such a magnificent financial contribution over the last few weeks. Donations came in thick and fast from all over the UK and as far away as Australia. The CCCT and the Heritage Lunch Club also made a significant contribution which took our total to date to over £19,000
Update from Chairman – David Durbin What a season! Disaster first struck in the game against Hammersmith Hills Hoists with injuries to three key players and then it continued for most of it. With the worry of relegation coupled with the financial issues, a departing coach as well as director’s it is one to forget and put behind us as we move forward. Beating the Bulls has put a smile back on our faces and confirmed our status in the Championship and proves that every cloud does have a silver lining. Try as we might a win at Whitehaven was not to be. Plenty of opportunities but none taken. Our season in a nutshell! As we start planning for next year, I would ask you to please seriously consider renewing your membership and try and get a friend to join too. As you have seen our financial support for the Club is vital! It is easy to do by going to our website Faxtrust.org or seeking out any member of the Board at any of our events or on match days at the Shay. My email address for more information is also on this newsletter. Another request for you to consider is that if you have any preloved merchandise you would like to donate to us please get in touch. This again has been a very successful and valuable source of income for your Trust. Enjoy your off season and hopefully like us you will look forward for a more successful one both on and off the pitch next year.
